The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship has called for developing a network of Centres of Excellence to strengthen India’s skill development ecosystem and ensure quality training for youth.
Addressing the Recognition of Excellence – Certificate Awarding Ceremony in New Delhi today, Secretary in the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Debashree Mukherjee highlighted that Centres of Excellence should go beyond imparting skills and also promote innovation, production and practical learning. She stressed the need to develop institutions that can facilitate international mobility of skilled youth through specialised training, including foreign language courses. Ms Mukherjee said the network would also serve as a platform for institutions to share best practices and learn from each other
