NATO Partnership Opens Procurement Opportunities for Ukrainian Defence Firms

Ukraine has joined the NATO Support and Procurement Agency’s Security Cooperation Support Partnership, opening up opportunities for Ukrainian defence companies to participate in NATO contracts. NATO announced the development yesterday. It said the partnership would give Ukraine’s defence industry access to procurement opportunities and allow it to benefit from the agency’s expertise, knowledge and capabilities.

The move aims to strengthen Ukraine’s defence industrial base and promote closer cooperation between Ukrainian companies and NATO member countries amid the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict. The event marks the first initiative of its kind organised by a NATO body since Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
