The National Steering Committee (NSC) has approved 320 Crore rupees for Kurukshetra ITI cluster in Haryana under the PM SETU scheme. Pradhan Mantri Skilling and Employability Transformation through Upgraded ITIs (PM-SETU) scheme is the government’s flagship initiative to raise the standard of vocational training by inculcating modern infrastructure, industry-led curricula, and strong industry partnerships.

The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship informed that with this approval, the total approved amount under PM SETU has increased to 2491 crore rupees across 10 ITIs clusters. The ministry noted that the increment highlighted the government’s commitment to transform Industrial Training Institutes into future-ready and industry-led centres of excellence.

Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Jayant Chaudhary said that bringing industry closer to ITIs will create stronger employment pathways for our youth. He also added that, with strong industry partnerships, the government is working to ensure that young people are equipped with the skills, exposure and opportunities required to participate meaningfully in India’s growth story.
