In Maharashtra, in the run up to India’s 80th Independence Day, nearly 1500 cadets from schools and colleges across Mumbai marched across the city’s Fort area today, showcasing a celebration of patriotism, youth power and national pride. The rally was part of NCC Maharashtra’s Independence Day campaign, where the cadets belonging to Army, Naval and Air Wings, marched to the tunes of Vande Mataram while waving the Tiranga and spirited chants of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai”.
According to an official press release, NCC Maharashtra is holding rallies and community outreach programmes across all districts. The cadets are also actively supporting national campaigns like Anti-Drug awareness and TB-Mukt Bharat, alongside environmental protection, cleanliness, fitness, community development and social responsibility initiatives.
In Jammu and Kashmir, a Tiranga rally was organised today. The rally commenced from District Sports Stadium Kathua and culminated at District Police Lines Kathua. Deputy Commissioner and Senior Superintendent of Police along with several officers participated in the event. Students from schools, along with prominent citizens, participated enthusiastically in the rally. Carrying the Tricolour, participants raised patriotic slogans and conveyed a message of unity and devotion to the nation.
A special highlight was the participation of students in three impressive human formations. The first formation depicted 150, marking 150 years of Vande Mataram. The second represented INDIA, while the third depicted 80, highlighting 80 years of Independence. The rally witnessed enthusiastic public participation and reflected the collective spirit of Kathua in celebrating the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign and the forthcoming Independence Day.
In Arunachal Pradesh, a grand Tiranga rally was organised today at Deomali as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign and Independence Day celebrations, witnessing enthusiastic and overwhelming participation from the public. The event featured an energetic bikers’ rally. A 150-metre-long National Flag was carried with pride by students from the General Ground to the NCI Bridge. Similar Tiranga Abhiyaan rally was organised in Khonsa.
