The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), in coordination with state police authorities has busted a transnational drug network involving foreign nationals overstaying in India, seizing drugs worth around 15 crore rupees and arresting four Nigerian nationals. Recoveries during the operation included over 14 kilogram amphetamine, 67 kilograms pseudoephedrine, cocaine and heroin. NCB said that further investigations on the matter are on-going.
Further, NCB, in association with state and UT Police and Immigration authorities, will be launching a fortnight-long nationwide campaign ‘Trinetra’ in the first week of September 2026 to identify illegally overstaying foreign nationals suspected to be involved in drug trafficking
