Nagaland: Security beefed up amid IED blast in Chümoukedima district

 
In Nagaland, security operations have been intensified following the IED blast at Sukhovi in Chümoukedima district yesterday, which claimed the life of one Assam Rifles personnel and injured four others. The deceased has been identified as Havildar Mohd Iqbal.
PRO Defence Nagaland said additional columns of the Assam Rifles and Nagaland Police have been deployed to strengthen search and area domination operations. 
The four injured personnel are reported to be in stable condition and are receiving medical care.
Meanwhile, a wreath-laying ceremony in honour of Havildar Mohd Iqbal of 28 Assam Rifles was held this afternoon at the Assam Rifles Training Centre and School, Sukhovi. 
Director General Assam Rifles, Lieutenant General Vikas Lakhera, led senior Army and Assam Rifles officers in paying floral tributes.
