Nagaland Governor Nand Kishore Yadav has called for the promotion of Hindi alongside the preservation of the state’s indigenous languages.
Describing linguistic diversity as one of India’s greatest cultural strengths, he said learning Hindi can help people communicate across different parts of the country, while indigenous languages keep communities connected to their history, traditional knowledge and identity.
Governor Yadav was speaking at the prize distribution ceremony of the Hindi Film Song Competition organised by Akashvani Kohima as part of Hindi Pakhwada today.
