The second and final sitting of ninth session of the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) is being held today. The day will see a wide-ranging legislative agenda, including the Frontier Nagaland Territorial Authority (FNTA) Bill, 2026, several government bills.

Deputy Chief Minister Y. Patton will introduce the government resolution on the Protected Area Permit (PAP) regime in Nagaland. The resolution resolves to appeal to the Government of India to urgently review and withdraw the PAP regime currently applicable in the state of Nagaland and restore the relaxation that had earlier been in operation.

The House will take up for consideration and passing of five government bills – the Nagaland Goods and Services Tax (Eleventh Amendment) Bill, 2026; the Nagaland Goods and Services Tax (Twelfth Amendment) Bill, 2026, the Nagaland Town and Country Planning (Sixth Amendment) Bill, 2026, the Nagaland Right to Public Services Bill, 2026, and the Nagaland Paramedical Council (Repeal) Bill, 2026.

The House will also take up the Frontier Nagaland Territorial Authority (FNTA) Bill, 2026 for consideration and passing.
