On the International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples today, Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio has called for the preservation of indigenous knowledge, traditions and cultural heritage. In a social media post, he acknowledged the traditions and wisdom of indigenous elders and knowledge keepers and urged all to strengthen their communities and celebrate the cultures that shape the nation. Governor Nand Kishore Yadav also paid tribute to all tribal people for maintaining an intimate bond with nature and preserving the rich culture, traditions, and heritage.
