Prime Minister Narendra Modi is completing 25 years in public service, a journey defined by the mantra of Jan Seva Se Desh Seva, and a relentless commitment that continues today. Guided by this vision for Seva and Sushasan, the Government has been ceaselessly working towards achieving the goal of a Viksit Bharat by 2047. Through inclusive development and social empowerment, this dedication is transforming lives.
When Prime Minister Narendra Modi assumed office in 2014, one of the ideas that emerged prominently from his vision of governance was to create a direct and continuous interface between the government and citizens. This vision led to the conceptualisation and launch of India’s citizen-engagement platform MyGov, in July 2014. The platform has emerged as an important medium for ensuring people’s participation, in governance and policy-making. In his address at the NCC Cadets Rally in New Delhi in January 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had urged the Cadets to provide their suggestions for ‘Viksit Bharat’ by visiting MyGov as they are the architects of ‘Viksit Bharat’.
By July 2026, nearly 6.5 crore citizens had registered on the MyGov platform. The platform reflects the broader vision of participatory governance, where citizens become active partners in the development process and contribute their ideas and suggestions to nation-building.
