The President of Myanmar, U Min Aung Hlaing, will be on a five-day visit to India from Saturday. He is visiting India at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The President will be accompanied by a high-level delegation comprising several Cabinet Ministers, senior officials and business leaders. This will be the first visit of President Min Aung Hlaing to India in his current capacity.

During his visit to New Delhi, the President of Myanmar will hold discussions with Prime Minister Modi on 1st June on further strengthening the historical and civilisational ties between the two countries. As part of the visit, President U Min Aung Hlaing will also travel to Bodh Gaya and Mumbai. The official visit of the President to India is expected to further strengthen and deepen the multifaceted relations between the two countries.
