Mumbai experienced light to moderate rain at several places today morning. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a ‘yellow’ alert in Mumbai along with Thane and Palghar till Thursday (July 20), indicating moderate to heavy rainfall.
 
Traffic jams were reported in several parts of the city. There was heavy traffic congestion on the Western Express Highway. Suburban trains have not been affected.
 
Meanwhile, Mumbai’s water stock in the seven lakes touched 34 per cent on Monday morning. However, the civic officials have said that they will review the current water stock this week, following which a decision will be taken on whether to continue the current reduction in water supply across the city.
