MP Tech Growth Conclave 3.0 begins in Bhopal with focus on semiconductors, GCCs and data centres

The MP Tech Growth Conclave 3.0 is being held in Bhopal today. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav inaugurated the conclave and, with a single click, launched 20 industrial units involving a total investment of 178.7 crore rupees. The conclave aims to position Madhya Pradesh as a leading technology and industrial hub in the country.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister said India has emerged as one of the world’s fastest-growing economies over the past 12 years. He said Madhya Pradesh, once known primarily for agriculture, is now manufacturing products ranging from drones to missiles. He added that following his visit to Barcelona last year, companies from Spain, the United States and Canada invested 228 crore rupees in the state.

The Chief Minister said the State Government is focusing on attracting investment in sectors such as semiconductors, data centres and Global Capability Centres (GCCs). He said these investments will create quality employment opportunities for the state’s youth in the IT and engineering sectors.

Speaking at the conclave, semiconductor company CEO Santosh Kumar described the day as a significant milestone for the semiconductor sector in Madhya Pradesh and the country. He said semiconductors are the backbone of the digital economy and announced that his company will invest 5,000 crore rupees in the state, further strengthening Madhya Pradesh’s position as an emerging semiconductor manufacturing hub.

Three new IT parks were also announced at the conclave. One will be developed at Indore’s Super Corridor. The Bhopal IT Park will be expanded by nearly four lakh square feet, while another IT park will be built on five acres of land on Kolar Road in Bhopal. The parks will offer plug-and-play facilities, enabling companies to begin operations without creating additional infrastructure.
