Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav today laid the foundation stone of a defence manufacturing plant in Shivpuri. The plant will be built by the Adani Group with an investment of around 2,500 crore rupees. Speaking on the occasion, Union Minister Scindia said a new chapter is being written in Shivpuri’s history today. He called it a historic step. He said this project will connect the district to industrial development, defence production and the vision of a self-reliant India. Mr Scindia also said that weapons and missiles made by the hard-working youth of Shivpuri will strengthen the Indian Army. The factory will come up in Pali village along National Highway 27. It will produce ammunition, high-tech weapons and mission-ready missiles.
Speaking at the event, Adani Group Director Jeet Adani said the group will create 1.20 lakh jobs in Madhya Pradesh by 2030.
