Most Asian stock market indices advanced today. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index gained around 1.6 per cent, China’s Shanghai Composite Index rose nearly 1.2 per cent, Taiwan’s Taiex jumped one per cent, Singapore’s Strait Times Index added over 0.3 per cent, and Japan’s Nikkei 225 rose more than 0.1 per cent. Conversely, South Korea’s Kospi index dropped 0.2 per cent.
Major European indices were trading on a mixed note. France’s CAC 40 dropped 0.3 per cent, London’s FTSE 100 was trading over 0.2 per cent lower, while Germany’s DAX rose 0.1 per cent, when reports last came in.
