Moshi building collapse: Death toll reaches 9 as rescue teams recover victim’s body from rubble in Pune 

In Maharashtra, the death toll in the Moshi waste depot accident in the Pune district has risen to nine after the bodies of seven more victims were recovered during the fourth day of rescue operations today.
 
One person remains trapped under the garbage mound, and search efforts are continuing. 
 
The accident occurred on July 8 when a massive heap of garbage collapsed on the administrative building of the Waste-to-Energy project at Moshi in Pune district, trapping 23 people. 
 
Five escaped on their own, while nine were rescued safely. Indian Army, NDRF, Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, PMRDA Fire Brigade and police have been carrying out the rescue operation. 
 
After removing the unstable portion of the damaged building using advanced demolition equipment, rescue teams recovered the seven bodies. The search for the remaining missing person is still underway.
