Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Ramdas Athawale has said that there should be an Akali-BJP alliance in Punjab and his party is ready to support both the parties. He criticised Aam Aadmi Party government for the deteriorating law and order situation in Punjab.
Addressing a press conference in Ludhiana, today, he said in the forthcoming Punjab assembly elections both BJP and SAD, the former alliance partners in the state, should join hands. He said his party, Republican Party of India will also play a supportive role.
The Minister, who was on a day-long visit to Punjab, also met industrialists and representatives of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises at Ludhiana and listened to their grievances.
Earlier, the minister met Padma Shri Sant Niranjan Das Ji Maharaj at Dera Sachkhand Ballan in Jalandhar.
