Union Minister of State for Communications, Dr Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani, today reviewed anti-fraud measures against the misuse of SIM cards by unsuspecting subscribers. In a social media post, Dr Pemmasani said that on the occasion, he discussed and offered several suggestions on key areas, including launching extensive public awareness campaigns about SIM muling. The minister also deliberated on strengthening advanced technological systems for the early detection of fraud and implementing a risk-based approach that ensures legitimate users face no inconvenience.
