Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai today attended the flag-in ceremony marking the success of the Mount Everest and Mount Lhotse mountaineering expeditions by the Border Security Force (BSF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and National Security Guard (NSG) in New Delhi.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that by conquering the world’s highest peak and singing Vande Mataram to the skies, the all-women mountaineering team of BSF has set a rare example of grit, patriotism and dedication.
Mr Rai also lauded ITBP for successfully completing its first-ever all-women international mountaineering expedition to Mount Everest, marking a historic milestone in the force’s mountaineering achievements.
The Minister further described the expedition by NSG to Mount Everest as an expression of the force’s commitment to pushing the limits of physical and mental endurance.
