Union Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways Harsh Malhotra, along with Delhi Cabinet Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa, today participated in a tree plantation programme under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ initiative in New Delhi.
Speaking to the media on the occasion, Mr Malhotra said that since the BJP government came to power in Delhi, development work has been progressing continuously across all sectors, including environmental protection. He termed the decision to plant 70 lakh saplings under the Chief Minister’s Mission Green Delhi a historic step towards environmental conservation.
Talking to the media on the occasion, Mr Sirsa said that under Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 2.0, the second campaign launched by the Prime Minister for tree plantation, 50 lakh trees and saplings have been planted under the campaign so far.
