The mortal remains of PIB and CBC ADG Dr Engam Pame and Doordarshan Aizawl Director (News) Nampibou Marinmai, who died in an accident near Sateek village in Mizoram yesterday, were bid farewell in Aizawl today before being taken to Manipur for their final rites. 

 

Speaking at the farewell ceremony, Home Minister K. Sapdanga expressed condolences to the bereaved families and said the Mizoram government was ready to extend any assistance they might need. He also acknowledged the duo’s contribution to the media sector.

 

Education Minister Dr Vanlalthlana echoed the sentiment and described the two as prominent figures in the media sector and conveyed his condolences to their families.

 

I&PR Minister B. Lalchhanzova, Former Lok Sabha MP and former Doordarshan Director General C. Lalrosanga also paid tribute to the two.

 

The mortal remains of the two officials will be flown to Manipur by a BSF helicopter from the Thuampui helipad.
