The seven-day Monsoon Session of the 16th Punjab Vidhan Sabha will start today. Opposition, including BJP, Congress and SAD are likely to raise issues regarding amendments to anti-sacrilege law, rising debt burden, deteriorating law and order and paper-leak of Pharmacy Officer in Faridkot, recently.

 

The government is likely to introduce the Punjab Regulation of Fee of Un-aided Educational Institutions (Amendment) Bill, 2026.This session may be the last session ahead of the assembly elections next year.
