The monsoon session of the Haryana Legislative Assembly began today and will continue until September 1. The proceedings of the House commenced with the national song, ‘Vande Mataram’; however, Congress MLAs remained outside the House during this time. Following the national song, the Leader of the Opposition and other MLAs entered the House dressed in black. Subsequently, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini read out an obituary reference. Congress MLAs created uproar in the House, alleging police excesses while entering the House in black dress, leading to a 20-minute adjournment of the proceedings.
