Monsoon continues to be active in Himachal Pradesh, with widespread rainfall affecting several parts of the state over the past 24 hours. Flood-related incidents today have resulted in 12 deaths, with 3 individuals still missing. Relief operations are ongoing in the affected areas following recent disasters.

The heavy rainfall in Himachal Pradesh has severely disrupted normal life. In a tragic incident, 9 people from Dehlan area in Una district, who were traveling to a wedding in Punjab, were killed when their vehicle was caught in a flood at Jejon Khadd. Una Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal stated that one person was rescued, while two remain missing and their search is ongoing. In another incident in the Haroli region of Una district, 3 people died and one is missing due to flooding in Bathu Bathri. Flooding has also affected 335 transformers and closed 11 roads in the district, disrupting power supply and irrigation systems.

In the tribal district of Kinnaur, flash floods caused significant landslides, damaging several points on the National Highway from Pooh to Rorik. In the Chopal subdivision of Shimla district, flooding has severely damaged apple orchards and storage boxes in Tarapur village. Similarly, in Sirmaur district, heavy rainfall has caused the Yamuna and Markanda rivers to swell. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall in 10 districts over the next 24 hours and has warned of potential flooding in six districts: Chamba, Hamirpur, Kullu, Mandi, Shimla, and Sirmaur.
