Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu today highlighted that the launch of the Modified UDAN Scheme will mark the next chapter of India’s regional connectivity journey. In a social media post, Mr Naidu said, the scheme, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi with an outlay of over 28,840 crore rupees, will strengthen connectivity in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities. He said, the scheme will facilitate the development of over 100 new aerodromes and 200 helipads, bringing the dream of affordable air travel closer to millions and connecting the aspirations of a rising India.
Referring to the inauguration of the new terminal at Jodhpur Airport, Mr Naidu said, the world-class facility will strengthen connectivity in the Marwar region while opening new avenues for tourism, trade, and economic growth across Rajasthan.
