Mizoram Information & Public Relations Director K. Vanlalsangi inaugurated the three-day Photography Exhibition organised by the Mizo Photographers’ Society to mark World Photography Day 2026 at Vanapa Hall, Aizawl today.
Speaking at the inaugural function, the I&PR Director stated that the Mizo Photographers’ Society (MPS) is the largest body in Mizoram comprising professional photographers, photography enthusiasts, and those who earn their livelihood through photography. Vanlalsangi described the Society as a valuable partner in various Government initiatives.
She highlighted the significant role of MPS in showcasing the natural beauty and heritage of Mizoram through the Mizoram Government Calendar.
H. Lalchhanhima, President, MPS presided over the induction of new members, and prizes for the ‘National Open Photography Competition’ organized by MPS were also distributed. For the National Open Photography Competition, a total of 567 photographs were received from 224 participants.
