Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma said the cleanliness and hygiene maintained by the Mizo people have enhanced the state’s reputation and urged citizens to continue upholding these values.
Speaking at a function in Thenzawl, Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma said visitors often praise the state’s cleanliness and well-maintained environment, describing it as one of Mizoram’s most appreciated qualities.
Lalduhoma noted that Thenzawl has emerged as one of Mizoram’s most prominent tourist destinations and is increasingly attracting visitors from across the country.
He stated that the donation of the Garbage Tipper by the Formosa Foundation would further strengthen local efforts to keep Thenzawl clean and attractive. He also expressed gratitude to the Formosa Foundation for its continued contributions to the development and welfare of Mizoram.
Speaking on the occasion, the ruling Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM) legislator Baryl Vanneihsangi said that cleanliness contributes not only to public health but also to the attractiveness of a place.
As Thenzawl receives a large number of travellers and tourists, she emphasised the importance of maintaining a clean environment that can serve as a model for other towns and communities. She further underlined the importance of proper waste management in achieving this objective.
