In Manipur, some unknown miscreants set fire to several houses at Khoikai village under Chassad Police Station of Kamjong district early this morning. Considering the situation, security forces have taken necessary preventive measures including intensified patrolling and area domination to prevent the recurrence of such incidents and maintain peace and security in the area.

Meanwhile, the Director General of Police (DGP) Manipur Mukesh Singh accompanied by ADGP (Law & Order) and DIG BSF Sector Hq Manipur visited the Kamjong district today.

During the visit, the DGP and senior officers interacted with the police personnel of Kamjong district and discussed the prevailing law and order situation. Later a joint security coordination meeting with representatives of Assam Rifles and BSF to review the security scenario and strengthen coordination among the security forces was held.

The DGP also met representatives of different civil society organisations and heard their concerns regarding the prevailing situation.
