Meta has expressed regret over the removal of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s social media post on strict action against paper leaks.

Talking to the media in New Delhi, Secretary in the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, S. Krishnan, said Meta has written to the government expressing regret over the incident. Mr Krishnan said the government has asked Meta’s senior leadership to appear before it and explain the reasons behind the incident and the measures being taken to prevent such lapses. He said the company’s representatives are scheduled to meet government officials in the coming days.
