Many parts of Punjab and Haryana are experiencing heavy to very heavy rain, giving relief from hot and humid weather conditions. The Met Department had issued an orange alert of the prevailing weather conditions in both the states. The most affected districts in Punjab are Gurdaspur, Pathankot, Hoshiarpur, Rup Nagar, Mohali and Anandpur Sahib. Some parts of Jalandhar, Amritsar and other districts are also receiving moderate rain. The waterlogging in some of the districts like Mohali is creating more trouble than comfort for the commuters. In Haryana, Kalka, Panchkula, Ambala, and Jagadhri are receiving heavy downpours.
