The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has called for innovators, students and entrepreneurs to submit their applications to get financial assistance under the GENESIS Entrepreneur-in-Residence programme.

The programme, launched by the MeitY Startup Hub (MSH) at Coimbatore, aims to support aspiring entrepreneurs, innovators, researchers, and students from the Tier-II and Tier-III cities. With financial assistance of 10 lakh rupees, the programme seeks to provide incubation, mentorship, ecosystem access, networking opportunities to the selected applicants.

The ministry also underscored that the launch reaffirmed the government’s commitment to nurturing early-stage innovators, researchers, students and entrepreneurs through structured financial assistance, mentorship, incubation support. It also noted that the programme will facilitate beneficiaries of a nationwide innovation ecosystem, enabling them to transform innovative ideas into validated prototypes and scalable technology-driven ventures.
