In Manipur, security forces continue search operations in sensitive areas with the aim of thwarting any unwanted incident. Manipur Police along with para-military forces conducted a search operation in the foothills of Tekcham Maning Ching of Thoubal district and recovered arms and ammunition. These include one sniper rifle with scope, one bolt rifle, one pistol, six hand grenades, one stun grenade and other war-like material.

On the other hand, Manipur Police arrested three cadres of insurgent outfit- PREPAK (Progressive) during a search operation conducted in and around Chingmeirong of Imphal East. They were involved in extortion activities.
