Manipur’s Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh today met the Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Union Minister of Minority Affairs and Parliamentary Affairs Kiren Rijiju in New Delhi and discussed a wide range of issues concerning the State.
The Chief Minister called on Shri Amit Shah at his official residence at New Delhi. During the meeting, the Union Minister assured the Chief Minister that the Central Government will fulfil the wishes of the people of the State. The Union Minister gave a patient hearing to all the issues relating to the State as raised by Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh and Shri Shah lauded the State Government for its success in the resumption of the Imphal-Dimapur-Guwahati bus service and ensuring free movement on the National Highway-2.
Our correspondent reports, the Union Home Minister also agreed to lay the foundation stone of the new Medical College in Senapati district and will visit the State in the first week of October this year. During his visit, he will lay the foundation stone and oversee other development projects of the State. The Union Minister assured the Chief Minister that his ministry will provide all possible help to the State.
