Manipur joined the rest of the country in organising the “Har Ghar Tiranga” Campaign. The event, which will culminate on 17th August 2026, is organised to celebrate the unity of India and mark deep respect for the tricolour flag. During the campaign, citizens will hoist the tricolour flag at their homes. Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand, participating in the campaign from his residence at Singjamei under Imphal West District, urged the people to recognise themselves as Indians first, then a Manipuri.

BJP leader Ajit Gopachare, Rajya Sabha MP A. Sarda, and MLAs K. Joykishan and Th. Radheshyam, along with party workers, took part in the rally. Similar programmes were held at different parts of Imphal East, Jiribam, Churachandpur, and Noney districts.
