In Manipur, a team of Assam Rifles launched an operation in the area along the Indo-Myanmar Border in Chandel district and recovered a huge arms cache. It included 3 Pompi, 6 single-barrel rifles, 3 carbines, 2 Lathod guns, 2 grenades, 2 IEDs and ammunition. Meanwhile, under the Civic Action Programmes, Assam Rifles extended livelihood support to Senjenpokpi United Welfare Club at Irengbam, Kakching district of Manipur, by providing 22 sewing machines worth two lakh rupees. The machines were distributed in response to a requirement raised by the club, and the initiative aims to promote tailoring as a skill for income generation, self-reliance, and economic empowerment of the local community.
