A specialised police training workshop on gender-sensitive policing and effective investigation of crimes against women was held in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar today. The workshop was jointly organised by the National Commission for Women (NCW), the Women and Child Crime Prevention Wing of Maharashtra, and the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Police Commissionerate.

 

Addressing the workshop, NCW Chairperson Vijaya Rahatkar emphasised that “gender-sensitive policing” is the foundation of women’s safety. She said that the police are a symbol of public trust and that greater sensitivity towards victims is essential for building their confidence in the justice system.
