Maharashtra: CM Devendra Fadnavis hails PM Modi as finest-serving Prime Minister

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is not only the longest-serving but also the finest-serving Prime Minister of India.

Addressing a press conference in Mumbai, Mr Fadnavis said Prime Minister Modi has changed the face of the country and brought about a 360-degree transformation.

Congratulating Modi on becoming the country’s longest-serving elected Prime Minister, the Maharashtra CM said the significance of the achievement lies not merely in the duration of his tenure but in the changes brought about during this period.

Highlighting the work done by the Union government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Mr Fadnavis said the government had lifted 25 crore people out of poverty and provided food security to 80 crore citizens. He also highlighted welfare measures such as PM-Kisan, Ayushman Bharat, Jan Dhan Yojana, PM Awas Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana, and the Lakhpati Didi programme.

The Chief Minister said good governance and efficient administration have been the major strengths of Modi’s tenure and noted that ₹51 lakh crore has been transferred directly into citizens’ bank accounts through various schemes.
