The Maharashtra Cabinet today took several important decisions at its meeting chaired by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis in Mumbai, including constituting a Cabinet sub-committee to oversee drought relief measures in the state.

The Cabinet also approved allotment of developed plots on an ownership basis to project-affected farmers from Mogharapada, whose land was acquired for the integrated car shed depot for Mumbai Metro Lines 4, 4A and 10.

It also approved cluster redevelopment of old and dilapidated MHADA buildings at Ramkrishnanagar in Mumbai’s Khar area to provide better infrastructure.
In another decision, the reservation for a playground and garden on Survey Number 103 at Devpur in Dhule Municipal Corporation limits was cancelled. The land will now be included in the public-semi-public zone.

The Cabinet also cancelled the revised staffing structure of the Agriculture Department and decided to temporarily retain the structure approved in 2009. A comprehensive review of manpower, vacant posts, cadre-wise requirements, field-level needs and the workload of farmer-centric schemes will be undertaken before a fresh proposal is submitted.
