Madhya Pradesh: Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia launches development projects worth 350 crore rupees

Union Minister for Communications and Development of North Eastern Region Jyotiraditya Scindia has inaugurated, launched and laid the foundation stones for development projects worth around 350 crore rupees during his four-day visit to Guna district in Madhya Pradesh. The projects are related to environment, irrigation, railways, roads, power, healthcare and skill development.
 
Mr Scindia began his visit at the origin of the Kuno River, where he planted 700 saplings under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign. He also launched a water conservation campaign and inaugurated a newly built check dam.
 
On the last day of his visit, the Union Minister laid the foundation stone for a 278 crore rupee power substation. The project is expected to improve electricity supply for more than 2 lakh 25 thousand people in about 225 villages.
 
He also inaugurated a solar power plant, a new Industrial Training Institute (ITI) building and a power substation. Later, he flagged off the Bina-Ruthiyai-Bina MEMU train service from Guna Railway Station.
 
Mr Scindia also laid the foundation stone for a new fruit and vegetable market, inaugurated three roads and distributed land ownership certificates to beneficiaries. He interacted with women from Self Help Groups and beneficiaries of the PM SVANidhi Scheme.
 
During a DISHA review meeting, the Union Minister reviewed the progress of health, irrigation and other development projects and directed officials to complete the work on time.
