Madhya Pradesh launches first international flight with direct Indore-Abu Dhabi service

The first international flight service from Madhya Pradesh has been launched. Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav flagged off the first direct flight from Indore to Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has always believed that even a common man should be able to fly. He said the state’s aviation policy has been built on this very idea. Dr Yadav said the government is ready to provide financial support of 15 lakh rupees per flight for international routes. He said this will help bring down ticket prices for passengers. He said that earlier, the airfare was around 24,000 to 25,000 rupees per seat, which has now come down to 12,000 to 15,000 rupees.

This Air India Express flight will operate four days a week. The journey from Indore to Abu Dhabi will now take just three hours and fifteen minutes. Earlier, passengers had to travel via Delhi or Mumbai, taking seven to eight hours.
