MP Tourism, Culture, Religious Trusts and Endowment Minister Dharmendra Bhav Singh Lodhi said that ‘Chanderi Eco Retreat’ is an effort to bring the historic and cultural town of Chanderi prominently onto the tourism map. The Chanderi is also famous for its unique handloom sarees.

The Chanderi Eco Retreat will introduce tourists and visitors to the rich heritage, natural beauty, and historical landmarks of Chanderi. This initiative will not only provide employment and benefits to local artisans and businesses but also establish Chanderi as a major attraction for tourists from India and abroad.

An initiative has also been taken to create a blockbuster movie Stree Selfie Point to connect tourists with Chanderi’s popular film locations.

It is noteworthy that an all-season tent city has been established by the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board.

To explore Chanderi’s history closely, a “Heritage Walk” will also be organized.
