Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has paid tributes to Madan Lal Dhingra on his martyrdom day today. In a social media post, Mr Birla said that the life of Madan Lal Dhingra is an inspiring saga of indomitable courage, unwavering patriotism, and selflessness. He emphasised that despite being born into a prosperous family, Madan Lal Dhingra forsook a life of comfort and luxury to make the nation’s freedom his highest goal.

The Lok Sabha Speaker added that while living in London, Madan Lal Dhingra raised his voice against India’s enslavement and openly challenged British rule. He also said that the sacrifice of Madan Lal Dhingra served to intensify the spirit of freedom, self-respect, and love for the nation among the youth of that era.

Mr Birla noted that the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering resolve of Madan Lal Dhingra continue to inspire the youth with patriotism even today.
