Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has extended greetings to citizens on the occasion of the Prakash Purab of Sri Guru Granth Sahib today. In a social media post, Mr. Birla said that Sri Guru Granth Sahib imparts a profound spiritual message of humanity, love, equality, service, compassion, and harmony. He added that the teachings of Guru Granth Sahib inspire everyone to walk on the path of truth, renounce ego, serve the needy, and foster feelings of love and respect towards all beings.

The Lok Sabha Speaker wished that the light of the sacred teachings of Sri Guru Granth Sahib illuminates everyone’s lives with knowledge, wisdom, peace, and goodwill and strengthens the bonds of brotherhood, unity, and humanity in society.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also extended his wishes to the countrymen on the occasion of Prakash Purab of Sri Guru Granth Sahib today.

In a social media post, Mr Shah said that by conferring the status of ‘Guru’ upon Sri Guru Granth Sahib, Sri Guru Gobind Singh conveyed the message that true guidance in life comes from knowledge, truth, and principles. He added that the sacred scripture encompasses invaluable teachings on service, sacrifice, equality, compassion, and humanity, which will forever inspire society toward human welfare.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also extended greetings via a social media post. Mr Singh said the teachings of Sri Guru Granth Sahib guide humanity towards truth, service, equality, compassion and harmony. He said its profound message inspires people to serve society and the nation with mutual goodwill, respect and brotherhood.

The Defence Minister expressed hope that the sacred occasion will bring peace, happiness and prosperity to everyone and further strengthen the resolve towards human welfare.
