On Prime Minister Narendra Modi becoming the longest continuous-serving Prime Minister of India, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla said that the milestone highlights the symbol of strength of Indian democracy and public trust.
In a social media post, Mr Birla noted that during this period of 4 thousand and 399 days, constitutional values, parliamentary democracy, and democratic institutions have gained further strength through healthy parliamentary processes and traditions. Extending best wishes to Prime Minister Modi, the Lok Sabha Speaker wished that PM Modi’s leadership continue the progress of the nation, good governance, and the fulfilment of the resolve for a developed India.
