Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has expressed hope that Members of Parliament will participate in the proceedings with a spirit of cooperation while upholding the dignity of the Constitution as well as parliamentary traditions and decorum. In a social media post, Mr Birla said that the Monsoon Session of parliament is beginning from today.

 

He said that the smooth conduct and maximum disposal of legislative and other parliamentary business is a collective responsibility. Mr Birla added it will further strengthen public trust and enhance the stature of democratic institutions. 

Lok Sabha Speaker urged all Members to work together to ensure that the session is conducted in a spirit of meaningful discussion, people-centric decision-making, and in keeping with the dignity of Parliament.
