Kuwait says it’s under Iranian missile and drone attack

Kuwait today said that the country is under Iranian missile and drone attack. The country’s army said in a statement that its air defences had been activated following the sinful Iranian aggression. The attacks came after more than a week of Iran and the United States trading strikes.

Iran has struck Gulf countries recently, and the United States has stepped up its bombing campaign in Iran as the interim ceasefire deal has collapsed.

The US launched airstrikes earlier today targeting Iran’s paramilitary Revolutionary Guard to retaliate for the killing of American troops in Jordan yesterday. This further widens the crossfire between the nations as they fight over Strait of Hormuz.

Kuwait has been one of the most heavily affected Gulf countries throughout the war, with attacks hitting US bases hosted in the country as well as critical infrastructure, including an airport, a desalination plant and power plants.
