The Vizhinjam International Seaport in Keralam has secured final Customs approval to commence gateway export-import operations. Full-fledged EXIM cargo operations will begin on August 18 with Chief Minister V. D. Satheesan flagging off the first export container. The launch will transform Vizhinjam from a transshipment port into a full-fledged international cargo gateway, boosting Keralam’s economy and strengthening India’s maritime sector.
