In Jharkhand, the JPSC-JSSC aspirants’ protest continues in Ranchi on its 21st day. Senior officials visited the protest site this evening at Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium and interacted with the protesting students, seeking details about the proposed Tiranga Yatra tomorrow.
According to the students, the Tiranga Yatra will begin at 9:30 AM from Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium and pass through Kachahari Chowk, Nucleus Mall, Lalpur Chowk, Plaza Chowk, Firayalal Chowk and Shaheed Chowk before returning to the stadium. The students said the Tiranga Yatra would be conducted peacefully and would convey a message of unity and patriotism on Independence Day.
Meanwhile, protesters burnt effigies of Ministers Irfan Ansari, Sudivya Kumar Sonu, Deepika Pandey Singh and Shilpi Neha Tirkey at Shaheed Albert Ekka Chowk, protesting against the lathi-charge on protesters and attempts to defame the student movement.
