In Jammu and Kashmir, Police have arrested two terrorist associates linked with the proscribed terror outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba and recovered arms, ammunition, and other incriminating materials from their possession in Baramulla district today.
 
According to police, a joint team of security personnel at a checkpoint established at Paranpeelan Bridge Uri, tactfully apprehended two suspected persons who were coming from Dachi towards Paranpeelan Bridge and tried to flee while noticing naka party. During their personal searches, 02 Glock Pistols, 2 Pistol Magazines, 2 Pistol Silencers, 5 Chinese Grenades, and 28 live Pistol rounds were recovered from their possession.
 
The Police said that they were involved in cross-border smuggling of arms & ammunition at the behest of Pakistan-based terror handlers and its further distribution to LeT terrorists for carrying out terror activities. 
 
Meanwhile, a case was registered and further investigation has been initiated.
