In Jammu and Kashmir, the chopper services to the Vaishno Devi Shrine in Trikuta Hills in Katra area becomes costlier from tomorrow as the aviation company providing the chopper services to the Pilgrims decided to increase in the air fare. Akashvani Jammu Correspondent reports that the pilgrims will have to pay more for availing chopper service between Katra and Sanjhi Chhat from tomorrow. The aviation company, which has secured the contract for the next three years, have quoted Rs. 2100 per person as the air fare for one way and Rs. 4200 per person for the both sides. Earlier, the one way ticket between Katra and Sanjhi Chhat was Rs. 1820 per person only and Rs. 3640 for up and down. Thus, there will be more than 20 percent increase in the air fare for the chopper service from tomorrow.
